Mechanical Fitter

We're seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters to join the UFWE team in delivering reliable maintenance and shutdown support to our industrial and mining clients.

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment across a variety of plant and site environments. You'll work alongside skilled tradespeople and be part of projects that require both speed and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, gearboxes)
• Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment during shutdowns
• Work from technical drawings and follow client requirements
• Ensure work is completed safely and within timeframes

Requirements:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Previous experience in shutdowns, maintenance, or industrial plant work
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
• White Card and driver's licence
• Team player with a safety-first mindset

Desirable:

• Confined Space / Working at Heights
• Forklift or EWP ticket
• Experience working in mining or heavy industry
